PAUL SIZER COMIC E-NEWSLETTER
NOVEMBER 20, 2006
Hello friends, fans and retailers.
Thanksgiving is almost here, and in addition to my annual venture into getting one year older (yet strangely, not always wiser), it’s time for some more news from the halls of Cafe Digital publishing studios. Please don’t step on any elves, and pass the gravy!

1. BKV DOES EXIST, ACTUALLY REALLY NICE GUY…
Got to meet and hear superstar comic writer Brian K. Vaughan (Runaways, Y: The Last Man, Pride of Baghdad, Ex Machina) speak at an author visit in Dearborn Michigan this weekend. The event was masterminded and sponsored by Dan and Katie Merritt, the nice owners of Green Brain Comics, just voted the “Best Comic Book Selection” by the Detroit Metro Times!
It was great to hear Brian talk about writing “Pride of Baghdad”, his past comic work he’d like to forget, and his attempts to screw up “Runaways” as much as possible before handing it off to writer Joss Whedon! (Don’t worry kids, he said he’s seen Whedon’s first “Runaways” script and it kicks much butt)
And to top it all off, I got to go out and have dinner with Brian, Dan and Katie, and Mr. Vaughan, classy dude that he is, picked up the check for dinner! What a guy! Needless to say, a stray copy of MOPED ARMY made it into his hands for a long plane ride home. Hopefully it will at least aid in him falling asleep on the plane.
2. NEXT SIZER CONVENTION STOP: MID OHIO CON 2006
After stuffing one’s self with turkey, there’s only one way to work that off: go to a comic convention! My annual final con of the year is back again, as the MID OHIO CON 2006 debuts in it’s swanky new location in downtown Columbus! I’ll be there with tons of LITTLE WHITE MOUSE, MOPED ARMY and anything else needed for those perfect stocking stuffers for the comic fan in your life!
For more info on MID OHIO CON check it out here: LINK
3. DID SOMEONE SAY “GIFT SUGGESTIONS”?…
Speaking of perfect gifts for those hard-to-buy-for comic junkies on your lists, here’s some Sizer related links for getting your hands on some cool books:
