“Automatic Reload” Cover for TOR Books/Macmillan
Finally able to show this artwork done for TOR Books/Macmillan Publishing group for the new sci-fi novel “Automatic Reload” by Ferrett Steinmetz, coming out in May! The editors who commissioned me wanted me to channel the late 90’s Image comics vibe as hard as I could, but also toss in some of my retro-propaganda stylings to the mix.
I provided them with a title treatment as well, which while fun proved to be a bit too much to use, but I’ll include it here. This was a blast to work on, and a great exercise in providing them with a variable/changeable image that could adapt to multiple platforms and needs.
