Celebrating a Century of Making Waves
100 years ago, Leonid Theremin invented an electronic device that created sound by letting the musician disrupt the magnetic fields around the device. Named after the inventor, the Theremin became one of the cornerstones of modern electronic music, paving the way for modern synthesizer music.
Working with modern Theremin players Bruce Woolley and Charlie Draper, I did the identity design work for the worldwide celebration of the Theremin. The identity system has been made available for musicians and organizations around the world for promoting concerts, workshops and music festivals centered around this seminal instrument.
You can learn more about Theremin 100 and its connected organizations at The Radio Science Orchestra’s website.
