I have had a long and beneficial relationship with the Kalamazoo Public Library, with them supporting my graphic novel and comic work and hosting plenty of comic workshops at their local branches. For the last few years, I’ve been in charge of designing the annual Summer Reading Challenge, a summer reading game for kids and teens that involves thousands of young readers across the city. Each year has gotten a bigger response, and the Library has pulled out all the stops to make the promotion reach out further and further into the community.
